Impex Lighting
In 1870 Bohemia, Adolph Schonbek began a glasswork company and began producing full glass chandeliers. His two Grandsons, Arnold Schonbek and Henry Blake joined the family venture and eventually took over control of the business.
The control and running of the Czechoslovakian factory was lost during World War Two and Arnold eventually re-established the company in Montreal, Canada and the moved to the United States.
Henry relocated to London and began the Impex Lighting brand in 1946. In 1967, Henry’s son Michael started working the business and in 1998 Impex Lighting acquired Starlite Chandeliers, making Impex Lighting the famous brand we know and love today!
